Presented as an innovation at EuroTier in Hanover in 2004, the overall concept of the SILOKING Self-propelled with its distinctive 3-point chassis was awarded the DLG gold medal. “This self-propelled concept immediately established itself successfully in the market and apart from regular optimisation of details, it has remained unchanged since then“, Ulrich Hufnagel, responsible for product management at SILOKING, said. “We have set the trend of using self-propelled feed mixers on medium-sized farms and family farms, too“, Ulrich Hufnagel continued.
In the last ten years the feeding technology specialists from Tittmoning have added other models in the medium and upper performance range to the product line. In 2009 the company presented the SelfLine System 1000+ model range, another Self-propelled concept with an innovative 3-axle chassis with air suspension that fulfils the requirements of large farms all over the world.
Great potential worldwide
Today the self-propelled make daily feeding easy for farmers and cattle farmers on farms of any size, offering high work comfort and shorter working time. In addition, there is increased feeding precision and reduced loss of feed.
“It is exactly in the work process between ‚the silo and the cow‘ where we can see further potential to increase efficiency on lots of farms“, SILOKING General Manager Georg Mayer said.
Besides Germany, this is true for almost all the countries of Europe and for interesting markets of the future, such as South America or Asia. In Russia for example, the self-propelled system has already won four awards and the road to success has only just started.
The basis for future expansion has been created: “The serial production based on a large number of identical parts and the machine population in the field have brought us a wealth of experience as far as the handling of the machines is concerned“, Georg Mayer pointed out. “This enables us to offer our customers an optimal after-sales service together with our service and sales partners in the field”, Georg Mayer continued.
SILOKING is an innovation leader in the area of feeding technology. The turnover obtained in the fiscal year 2012/2013 was more than 50 million Euros with an export share of approximately 50 %.
