The MF 9530 Fortia delivers large area farmers top performance in a range of large and small grain crops and is particularly suited to operators in Germany and France as well as Central Europe. It is equipped with the latest AGCO SISU POWER engine, which generates maximum power of 398hp with exceptional economy from the latest Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).
“The combine is aimed at the fastest growing sector of the market, and has the power and capacity to handle the high yields of grain and straw found in Europe,” says Adam Sherriff, Manager – Powered Harvesting. “As well as achieving considerable fuel savings from the latest engine technology it is also, crucially, a compact machine that on 800mm wide tyres remains within the overall transport width of 3.5m.”

High power with economy
With a maximum power of 398hp at 1,950rpm (370hp rated) the new MF 9530 Fortia combines high output harvesting with exceptional economy. Massey Ferguson leads the field in the use of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) in agriculture and is now further strengthening this position with the introduction of Generation 2 system.
This technology further reduces exhaust emissions while cutting fuel consumption. The AGCO SISU POWER, 8.4 litre engine with e³ technology uses AdBlue Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) and a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) to treat the gases after combustion. This after-treatment enables design engineers to set the engine for optimum output and best economy.
Industry’s longest rotor
Threshing and separation on the MF 9530 Fortia is carried out using the Massey Ferguson single axial, Advanced Technology Rotor (ATR), which is 700mm in diameter and 3.56m long - the longest in the industry.
Hydrostatic rotor drive provides infinitely variable speeds enabling operators to set the exact speed to perfectly match conditions. It also reduces the complexity and maintenance associated with belts and provides positive, controllable power. An automatic monitor maintains a constant rotor speed, regardless of load, which helps to sustain effective threshing and separation.
The innovative rotor design also negates the need for a rear discharge beater. This means, unlike other rotary combines, the straw exits the combine direct from the rotor, which reduces complexity and saves power and fuel.
For those looking to chop straw is the high capacity, Min-till chopper, which produces a high quality chop from eight rows of knives.

Powerflow for perfect feed
Massey Ferguson’s leading PowerFlow header, available in widths of 6.2m-7.7m, provides a positive feed from powered belts and produces considerably more output than a wider a conventional header.
Tests prove the PowerFlow boosts capacity in oilseed rape by up to 73%, 12% in barley and 15% in wheat. Alternatively a 7.7m wide Freeflow header is also available.
Fast unloading increases output
The MF 9530 Fortia’s 10,570 litre capacity grain tank is filled by a massive 30cm diameter clean grain auger, which is designed to cope with high yielding crops, such as maize and beans, that can fill at a rate of up to 130t/hr.
When it comes to unloading, the combine is the fastest on the market. The rapid Direct High Volume (DHV) unloading system discharges at a rate of 158 litres/sec, with two independent tank augers feeding directly into a long reach, 7.4m long auger. This has a 4.34m discharge height that eases emptying into chaser wagons and large trailers.
Cab comfort and control
Designed to work hard for long hours, the MF 9530 Fortia is equipped with one of the most spacious and comfortable cabs on the market to ensure operators remain fresh and alert. Equipped with full climate control, air-conditioning the cab has a vast glass area and narrow posts for excellent visibility.
All controls fall easily to hand and are now complemented by the new C2100 terminal that combines a slim design with 12in, touch-screen convenience of operation.
The console runs a vast range of features including automated setting of all the main functions – all the driver needs to do is to select the crop and the machine literally sets itself. It will also monitor every function and displays all settings, such as rotor speed, concave gap, fan speed, sieve settings and grain loss monitoring as well as providing early warnings of any problems.
The combine comes ready wired to ease fitting of Autoguide, self-steering system and the AGCOMMAND telemetry monitoring system.
