Again this year, smaXtec was pleased to welcome a large number of visitors to its stand at Eurotier 2014. Thanks to the good cooperation with our large sales partner, VitaVis GmbH, and the presence of Dipl. ECBHM Dr. Johann Gasteiner (Deputy Director and Head of Research and Innovation at the Federal Agricultural Research and Education Centre Raumberg-Gumpenstein and smaXtec long-term development partner), prospective customers received excellent advice on technical and scientific issues as well as on practical use of the smaXtec System.
For the first time, many prospective customers were able to see for themselves in real-time just what happens in the cow's rumen. Using our brand new smaXtec System 2.0 we took live measurements from our “exhibition cows”. Real-time data acquisition meant it was immediately possible to show our exhibition visitors any changes in rumen pH and temperature and the any actionable alerts generated based on the data.

PRESENTATION BY DR. JOHANN GASTEINER
The presentation given by Dr. Johann Gasteiner, Head of Research and Innovation at the Federal Agricultural Research and Education Centre at Raumberg-Gumpenstein, met with great interest. A large number of exhibition visitors attended the presentation on the results of rumen pH and temperature measurement and on the best approach to interpreting curves.
SMAXTEC PRESS CONFERENCE ATTRACTS INTERNATIONAL JOURNALISTS
The smaXtec System 2.0 is also proving popular with the media. The press conference held at Eurotier 2014 was attended by numerous media representatives from Germany and abroad. Questions from the attending journalists were answered by DI Dr. Stefan Rosenkranz (smaXtec), Jürgen Wortmann (VitaVis GmbH) and Dr. Johann Gasteiner (Federal Agricultural Research and Education Centre Raumberg-Gumpenstein).
