Organic markets in Central- and Eastern Europe are growing: In Poland the volume of organic markets increased by 25% to over €100 million in 2011. In 2010 Czech Republic realized a turnover of €130 million while increasing by 20% since 2010. Organic markets in other countries expanded dynamically by 5 to 50%. This information is part of the study on the organic markets of 14 Central- and Eastern European countries that is going to be presented at the Forum. Furthermore the program consists of workshops concerning international cooperation and strategic discussions with organic experts.
Bernhard Jansen, Chairman of EkoConnect, explains the significance of the event: “The Organic Marketing Forum (OMF) is the central meeting for the organic sector of Central- and Eastern Europe. The international meeting consists of an exhibition for organic products and raw materials, an organic market conference including workshops, as well as excursions to organic farmers, processors and traders near Warsaw. Participants from over 30 countries are expected to participate. Registration deadline is the 15th of April 2012.
For the first time OMF is organised in cooperation with BioFach Nuremberg, the world leading organic exhibition. That especially strengthens the trade character of the Forum. Besides “BioFach”, the other partners of OMF 2012 are the Producers Association “Polska Ekologia“, the Organic Farming Association „Ekoland“, the Polish Advisory Centre CDR and the Organic Retailers Association (ORA). The forum is under the patronage of the IFOAM EU Group and the Polish Ministry for Agriculture and Rural Development.

Organic Marketing Forum 2012 – Größter Bio-Branchentreff in MOE – Anmeldung noch bis Mitte April
Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Ost- und Westeuropa steht vom 7. – 9. Mai im Zentrum der 7. Internationalen Tagung zur Verarbeitung und Vermarktung von Bio-Lebensmitteln, Naturwaren und Rohstoffen in Warschau. Das Programm bietet vielfache Erfahrungen von Unternehmern für Unternehmer und eine Studie zu den Bio-Märkten in 14 Ländern Mittel- und Osteuropas. Der Veranstalter EkoConnect lädt Lebensmittelhersteller, Händler, Importeure und Landwirte ein, um unter dem Motto „Mit Transparenz & Glaubwürdigkeit Kunden gewinnen“ zu diskutieren und neue Partner zu finden. Die Anmeldung ist noch bis 15.04.2012 möglich.
Die Bio-Märkte in Mittel- und Osteuropa sind im Kommen: Das Marktvolumen ökologischer Produkte in Polen stieg 2011 um 25% auf über 100 Mio EUR. Tschechien verzeichnet einen Umsatz von 130 Mio. € bei einer Zunahme um 20 % seit 2010. Andere Märkte legten 2011 zwischen 5 und 50 % zu. Solche Marktinformationen sind Teil der beim Forum vorgestellten neuen Studie zu den Bio-Märkten Mittel- und Osteuropas. Weiterhin stehen Workshops zur internationalen Zusammenarbeit und Strategiediskussionen mit Branchenkennern auf dem Programm.

Die Tagung besteht aus einer Fachausstellung für Naturkost und –waren, einer Öko-Markt-Konferenz, praxisnahen Workshops, sowie Exkursionen zu verschiedenen Bio-Unternehmen rund um Warschau. Es werden wieder Teilnehmer aus über 30 Ländern erwartet. Der Anmeldeschluss ist der 15.04.2012.
Erstmals arbeitet das OMF eng mit der BioFach Nürnberg, der Weltmesse für Öko-Produkte zusammen. Damit wird der Messecharakter des Forums weiter gestärkt. Neben der BioFach sind der Herstellerverband Polska Ekologia, der Öko-Anbauverband Ekoland, das polnische Beratungszentrum CDR und die Organic Retailers Association (ORA) Kooperationspartner beim Forum. Dieses steht unter der Schirmherrschaft der IFOAM EU Group und des Polnischen Landwirtschaftministeriums.
Die Konferenz wird in Polnisch, Englisch, Deutsch und Russisch gehalten. Dank zusätzlicher „fliegender Dolmetscher“ werden die Sprachhürden zwischen Ost und West so leicht genommen wie sonst bei keiner Bio-Veranstaltung in Europa.
