This experience should prove useful in order to position the Excentials portfolio successfully in these markets” comments Diego Pineda, Sales Manager for Latin America for Excentials. Regulatory Affairs teams of both companies have been cooperating for longer period, allowing the first product (Excential Beta-Key) to be registered already in Uruguay and other product registrations in the countries concerned are currently pending.
Feed additives for dairy cattle
Excentials’ portfolio consists of a full range of specialty feed additives branded under the Excential name, including products such as Excential Rumenpass CH (rumen-protected choline chloride) which has proven to be a well taken concept in the high yield dairy segment. Rumen protected choline is helpful in transition period assisting animals during negative energy balance in lactating cows. Choline Chloride is degraded in the rumen and it also accounts for other vitamins. To obtain the desired effect of supplementing choline it must be added to the diet in a protected form. “Our experience with this product shows that the use of protected choline is of great interest among customers, mainly in the period around calving” comments Bernardo Suarez, Global Technical Manager for Excentials. The use of protected choline can be a preventive measure for prevention of fatty liver syndrome and ketosis along other benefits and it may improve production and reproduction parameters.
