The budget needs for the CAP under Heading 2 are 63 246 million EURO – 44 570m for the EAGF/1st Pillar (41 838m€ for Direct payments and 2 615 m€ for market measures) and 18 676m € for Rural Development/2nd Pillar/EAFRD, compared with the respective amounts of 59 053m €, 45 224m € and 13 824m € last year [NB: The 2015 figure for RD of 13 824 m€ is the initial figure included in the 2015 budget; after MFF reprogramming and Amending Budget No 2/2015, the final figure became 18 176m €, thus DB 2016 is in reality only 500m€ higher than 2015 – this "small" increase is due to net transfer from DPs to RD]. In 2016, an estimated 1 702m € will come from assigned revenue (ie generated from clearance of accounts, irregularities, superlevy etc, rather than asking for it from the Member States and EP), which means that budget appropriations are requested for 42 868m€ for the EAGF and 61 544m € in total.
