The EIMA International event is solidly Bolognese. The federation of agricultural machinery manufacturers, FederUnacoma, in the National Manufacturers Federation Confindustria, and the BolognaFiere trade fair company have signed an agreement for a long-term renewal of their collaboration. The accord, made public at a press conference held in Bologna this morning, provides for five more editions of the biennial exposition beyond the two already set for next November and November 2014 to commit the sides up to 2024. The understanding confirms historic ties, dating back to the first EIMA edition in 1969, which have made of the international exposition of agricultural mechanization one of the world’s most important and prestigious reviews in the sector and one of the most important appointments on the Bologna trade fair calendar.
The agreement focuses especially on a renewal of the partnership to commit FederUnacoma and BolognaFiere to the further development of the event. This means suitable facilities and promotional strategies based on the logistic and organizational requirements which surface in future editions. Described is a shared commitment which goes well beyond agreement on the utilization of exhibition space to bring in the strengthening of relations between reference industries and BolognaFiere, which has always devoted great attention to the leading industrial districts. The Bologna trade fair center obviously hosts various international majors which represent the finest of Italian research and innovation in their important market sectors ranging from cosmetics and mechanics to automobiles and the construction industry. These events are platforms and instruments for enterprises and must increasingly become accredited and recognized as essential for industrial policy and fundamental for economic recovery.
BolognaFiere President Duccio Campagnoli declared, “This contract with EIMA has driven us and committed us to a strategic project for innovation and updating the fair quarters which we have already opened to be, also in future, a center of reference for the great events for the Made in Italy production districts and because we have to maintain and heighten the profile of an exhibition leader at the global level. The agreement with FederUnacoma, he went on, not only confirms an understanding but marks the beginning of a real partnership between BolognaFiere and the federation which we wish to thank for their confidence in the Bologna trade fair center. Through this increasingly closer cooperation with organizers and category associations BolognaFiere intends to work to become accredited, in a way with greater impact, as the Italian trade fair pole of reference for the materials, technologies and products of the future, an international showcase for innovation and research.”
FederUnacoma President Massimo Goldoni said, “The Bologna fair, along with the production districts in the surrounding Emilia Romagna Region, enjoys a grand image and reputation and is one of the world’s reference poles for mechanics and engines. Agricultural mechanization is certain to show increasing development in various areas of the planet as a fundamental instrument for economic growth beyond the most advanced western nations and into the emerging developing countries.
