Within this field, Unione Italiana Vini (with its branch Eiqs, a consulting firm for businesses), in co-operation with the Department of Vegetal Productions of the Milan University, has been entrusted by the Ministry of Agricultural Policies with the task of carrying out a route of nationwide compliance with the principles of the European regulations. The outputs of the project will be exactly: the elaboration of national reference guidelines including “Model of integrated management for the use of phytosanitary products” aiming at the implementation of the main management and protection systems for the vineyard, in compliance with environmental protection and safety of agricultural operators; a “Database of phytosanitary product s” will be made up, in which the results of the analytical surveys, conducted about the residual effect of phytosanitary products in finished and semi-finished products, will be made usable for the companies taking part in the project and, in case, placed at the disposal of public and private Corporations and Institutions. The goal for the next months will be to gather the largest number of interested subjects around this national platform to line up the Italian vineyard in a more and more homogeneous way.
