On the cultivation side there will be the new version of the Terrano FX. The new frame, that consists of 100 x 100 mm cross beams that are welded to 100 x 120 main beams via a C-connection for the 3 and 3.5 m version and to 120 x 120 mm main beams for larger working widths, is even more robust. This new design is the answer to the constantly increasing horse power of the tractors.
The cross beams serve as a holder for the new generation of TerraGrip tines that have a trip force of 500 kg compared to the 370 kg trip force of the first generation. The disc row behind the three tine rows completes the levelling, then one of the five packer rollers from the HORSCH packer range consolidates the working horizon. No lubricating nipple is necessary for the 3 and 3.5 m versions.
In order to satisfy the increasing requirements for solutions for sowing catch crops, Terrano FX and Joker CT can be equipped with an APV fine seed unit with a hopper capacity of 200 l. The metering unit as well as the double fan are driven electrically and allow for a precise placement of the seed due to deflector plates that optimise the flow. These deflector plates are mounted on the packer frame in front of the packer and, thus, are safeguarded against splattering soil and resistant to wind. It is possible to control the metering from inside the tractor cab with a control module that relates to the forward speed.
In the seed drill range, the Express TD has been officially launched after two long-term operation campaigns in the field. This mounted seed drill exactly meets the expectations of mixed and arable farms with field structures that are not suitable for hitched technology.
The design consists of a 2-row DiscSystem with serrated and curved discs to produce fine soil and prepare the seedbed. This is followed by a FarmFlex packer for levelling and consolidation. The packer elements and the seed coulter are matched perfectly to create uniform seedbed conditions in front of each TurboDisc seed coulter. The regulation of the metering is fully automated and is controlled via the terminal inside the tractor cab. The bearing of the discs and the double disc coulters are completely maintenance-free. The hopper capacity of 1500 l is enormous.
With the Terrano 3.5 FX for 3-point linkage and the trailed Terrano 5 FX, the Joker 5 CT and the Joker 6 RT nearly the complete HORSCH product range will be exhibited. The Tiger 4 AS is equipped with a Pronto TD seed drill. In the seed drill range, the well-proven Pronto disc sowing system can be seen in a Pronto 4 DC and an Express 3 TD. A PPF (Precise Placement of Fertiliser)-version of the Sprinter will also be shown. The Pronto 6 KR combining a rotary harrow with the Pronto principle will be exhibited for the first time at the SIMA show.
