Agriculture sector which proceeded an attack in export in Turkey lately, is getting ready to meet the latest technologies, innovations and new products in the largest Agriculture Fair of Eurasia and Turkey, 10th International Growtech Eurasia Fair. All important producers and technology companies participate in Growtech Fair from the world, organized by NTSR and to which Turkish agricultural producers show great interest.
The fair which provides an important amount of development and strengthening of the agriculture sector rings together the domestic and foreign actors of the sector. Growtech Eurasia where new products, technologies and production techniques are displayed, this year is getting ready to accommodate 600 participant companies and over 60.000 visitors this year in Antalya Expo Center, over an area of 25.000 m².
In the fair where important representatives of the world agriculture will participate, visitors from United States, Finland, India, to Japan from different areas of the world will meet. In addition to international individual participations, Spain, France, Netherlands, England and China country pavilions are also getting ready to meet the participants of the fair. Fair participants reach to a wide customer mass with the most authorized decision makers.

NTSR Chairman Serkan Tiglioglu organizing Growtech Eurasia Agricultural Fair, in his announcement, said that their objective was to form a sectoral unity where all the stakeholders of the agriculture sector get together and by carrying the progress of the sector both to Turkey’s and the world’s agenda.
Serkan Tiglioglu, who pointed out that every 26 people out of 100 who were employed in Turkey worked agriculture sector, said: "in other words, we see Growtech agriculture fair as the most important tool that will provide the integration of the most important economic sector developing fast in Turkey which consists of 26 percent of the employment. This development in agriculture sector will pave the way for Turkey in many subjects”.

NTSR Chairman Serkan Tiglioglu, expressed that the value of the total products and production produced by Turkish farmers and producers within the land of Turkey was approximately 23 billion Dollars in 2002, noted that according to final data in 2008 this number went up to 57 billion Dollars. Tiglioglu in his announcement said: “Turkey today exports agricultural products with a total of over 11 billion Dollars. Turkey agricultural exports reached this point from 4 billion Dollars. During 2009 only fresh vegetable and fruit exports were 2 billion Dollars. Begging with 2008 when the global crisis started agriculture sector served as a tampon sector in Turkey. Consequently, the number of people employed in agriculture increased.
AGRICULTURE SECTOR HAS TAKEN ITS PLACE WITH ALL ITS DEPARTMENTS IN GROWTECH EURASIA
When international comparisons are made, Turkish agriculture is observed to have a high potential and sector shows positive growth numbers. Growtech Eurasia which will be produced between December 02-05, 2010 for the 10th time, also organizes “Purchasing Committee Program” with the organization of Foreign Trade Undersecretaritat Coordinator’s Office and Antalya Exporter’s Associations General Secretary’s Office.
In Purchasing Committee Program to be executed between November 30th – December 4th, representatives of organizations and institutions from 35 countries are participating.
