As is well known, crops are susceptible to damage by a variety of factors - weather, parasites, etc.
To minimize the negative effects of these factors, modern agriculture constantly develops new technologies (antiparasitic agents, GM varieties, etc.) to make crops more robust and resistant.
A consequence of this is a greater stress on our tyres. In fact, hard stubble can abrade and penetrate the tyre treads damaging it.
It happens mainly on the front tires of the harvesting machines where the stubbles (with an average height of 15 cm) can easily reach the lug base.

However it is worth to remember that, in order to minimize the risk of this type of damage, other countermeasures based on farmer experience can also be implemented.
Different solutions could be adopted: for example to chop and to break the stubbles using special straw chopper during harvesting before ploughing or use in alternatives special devices ( shoe/skid ), available on the market, mounted in front of the tyre able to flatten the stubbles before they hit and damage the tyre tread.
