The front axle is only 3 m wide for road transport. But when in the field the driver can extend the axle easily from the driver's cab by 30 cm each side to reach a track width of 90 cm. The main webs are fitted on slight angle to ensure the crop is transferred equally and extremely gently from the 3.6 m wide to the 2.8 m wide main webs. This helps to avoid any damage or blockage that would be created by rollers or deflector plates.

For the standard row width 75 cm it is also possible to extend the front axle at the r/h side by 30 cm, this is so you can have the option of fitting a wider wheel (380/90 R46 in lieu of 270/95 R52). The l/h side wheel is relieved by a hydraulic cylinder. This ensures a better weight distribution, less ground pressure and preserves the potato ridges. Especially a plus in wet conditions.
