The 30.000th JOSKIN slurry spreader a digest of the JOSKIN story

Agro Napló
The JOSKIN Group was born in 1968 with one man's willingness to serve the agriculture by setting up his own agricultural contracting enterprise. Today, the JOSKIN Group carries on this tradition under the leadership of the founder Victor Joskin and his wife, who are still present but who have been supported by their three children since the mid-nineties.

2013 marks the 45th anniversary of the original activity and the 30th years of the JOSKIN brand whose own production started in 1984.

In 2008, for its 40 years of existence, JOSKIN delivered its 20.000th slurry spreader, a Quadra 20.000 TS, to a Polish farmer. In its way, this coincidence in the order calendar showed that JOSKIN could anticipate two evolutions characteristic of the agricultural machinery:

  • from one hand, the tendency to use bigger machines for which JOSKIN could develop important technical solutions and
  • on the other hand, the integration of the East-European farmers to the market with the willingness to benefit from material of international quality.

Five years later, for its 45th anniversary, the coincidence of the orders offers a new wink at the JOSKIN Group: its 30.000th slurry spreader is a model of 4.000 litres bought by a Slovenian farmer.

It is indeed Damjan Herček, breeding 50 breeding pigs and 25 heifers in Pristava pri Mestinju in the east of Slovenia, who ordered the chassis no. 30.000 through the importer Miler.

The spreader, a Modulo2 4.000 ME, is a model with a simple structure and an adequate volume for the region where it will be used. It represents a very succinct summary of the history of the JOSKIN slurry spreaders: it indeed reminds the vehicles produced in 1984 but it benefits from 30 years of experience of JOSKIN in this area. And the fact that it was bought by a Slovenian farmer reminds that the JOSKIN Group could earn its reputation in more than 40 countries.

JOSKIN owes its story to farmers and contractors who trust the company and who keep inspiring it with its ideal: serving farmers without forgetting its origins and the value of the agricultural work.

This reminds very rightly the 30.000th JOSKIN slurry spreader: its owner, Damjan Herček, who produces regional products like breads and cheeses with his wife that they then sell on local markets or in the national mini-markets, reminds us we all are serving the earth by making a dazzling link between the agriculture at JOSKIN´s begins and that of... today!

Damjan Herček is not a precursor: many JOSKIN machines are already driving through Slovenia. But the choice of JOSKIN seemed to comply with the objective he is pursuing for the products he is selling: "Many farmers in the area are already driving JOSKIN machines and Miler has a good reputation and offers a good service. It is more profitable to buy quality and to spend a little more than to buy at low prices but to have a poor after-sales service. "
