GRIMME first introduced the 4 row self-propelled harvester VARITRON in 2011, which went on to win ´Machine of the Year´ in 2012. Six years later the family owned company GRIMME are now delighted to present the second generation, the VARITRON 470 boasting 435 HP with rubber tracks and 7 tonne NonstopBunker as standard.
At this years PotatoEurope from September 13 - 14, 2017 in Emmeloord, NL, GRIMME will present several practical improvements for potato technology.
The potatoes that will be used in the live demonstrations during the PotatoEurope trade show, which will take place on 13 and 14 September in Emmeloord, the Netherlands, have been planted. The mayor of Noordoostpolder himself, Aucke van der Werff, took place in the telehandler to throw a load of seed potatoes in the Miedema planter to get the planting underway. The planting machines from Grimme and Dewulf-Miedema handled the job with precision, aided by Case IH tractors.
Grimme's 4-row self-propelled harvester, the VARITRON 470 with 7 ton NonstopBunker is now also available with 90 cm row width, along with the standard 75 cm row width.
A 20 ton holding capacity, 6.5 ton/min unloading capacity gently handles the crop with minimal soil compaction. These are the challenges Spudnik addresses with the 12m long Crop Cart.
The SE 75-55 single row harvester with 5.5 ton bunker, now comes with fully automatic speed control called Speedtronic for the intake, 1st main and 2nd main web as an option. Speedtronic increases output whilst gentle harvesting and minimizes blockages, as it permanently digs with the optimum speed. This means the driver is no longer distracted by time-consuming manual settings.
For more than 15 years Grimme offers powerful and robust Store Loaders starting at 12 m to 22 m length with electro-hydraulic drive. Depending on the customer requirements they are either available with 65 or 80 cm wide belts. The new top of the range SL 165 is 16.1 m long and has a belt width of 65 cm.
Grimme has developed the 11 m long Scooper PS 511 for a gentle and quick storage removal, an intake unit with a following conveyor.
During harvesting between 3 to 20 % of the crop in the trailer is trash, depending on the conditions. Mainly that means also cost intense further transport followed by an intense separation and disposal. In very harsh conditions up to 1000 ton trash could be produced on a 100 ha field. For logistic and ecological reasons Grimme developed the infield CleanLoader with permit for road transport, with the aim to leave the main trash on the field.
For the seventh time since 2004 Grimme is organizing its Grimme Technica. The event takes place in Damme from 15th to 18th November 2016 (at the same time as EUROTIER in Hannover).
