On the 4th and 5th September 2019, the next PotatoEurope will take place in Cain, Belgium, near Tournai. GRIMME will once again demonstrate a large number of machines this year.
GRIMME, world leader in potato, sugar beet & vegetable farm machinery technology and Shaktiman, India’s leading agricultural implements manufacturer, today announced their 50:50 joint venture to develop & market potato and other root crop machines in India.
In 1969, GRIMME came up with the idea of developing self-propelled harvesting machines. Franz Grimme senior, father of the current owner Franz Grimme, combined the front part of a Deutz tractor with a single-row potato harvester of the Europa-Standard series.
In 2013, the family company GRIMME (Damme, Germany) acquired the majority stake of the Danish company ASA-LIFT, a specialist manufacturer for vegetable technology. The company was founded in 1936 and is based at Sorö, about 80 km southwest of Copenhagen.
Since 2004, GRIMME, a family company located at Damme, has been organising its own trade show, GRIMME Technica. For the first time, the specialised exhibition for potato, beet and vegetable technology will not take place parallel to EUROTIER in Hanover in mid-November, but from 4 to 7 December 2018 instead.
The GRIMME Landmaschinenfabrik has been exhibiting every year since the beginning of the series of this event in 2004. At this year's event from 12-13.09.2018 in Bockerode (near to Hanover, Germany) GRIMME presents a multitude of novelties and further developments.
The GRIMME Group was able to increase sales by 13.9 % from € 403 m euros in 2016 to € 459 m in 2017. All five manufacturing companies INTERNORM, RICON, SPUDNIK, ASA-LIFT and GRIMME contributed to the positive business development. The GRIMME group currently employs over 2 400 people worldwide and is present in over 120 countries.

At this years PotatoEurope, which takes place from 12th to 13th September in Bockerode (near to Hanover, Germany) GRIMME will present two new self-propelled harvesters for the first time at an international trade show.
On June, 1st 2018, GRIMME Belgium opened its new location at Roeselare (Belgium), about 90 km west of Brussels. On an area of one hectare GRIMME set up a modern building of 2900 m² with an integrated show-room, workshop, offices and warehouse for spare parts.
