Recent AgriDirect survey: Dairy farmers go for the SILOKING brand

(Tittmoning, 4th February, 2012) SILOKING was once again the German dairy farmers’ most popular brand in 2012. This has been revealed by a survey carried out by AgriDirect Deutschland GmbH among 200 dairy farmers who bought a feed mixer last year. Almost one in four dairy farmers decided in favour of feeding technology from the market leader from Upper Bavaria, which represents 22.2 per cent of the purchased new feed mixers.

 

 

As to the choice of feed mixer type, the survey has confirmed the trend towards self-propelled: 13.1 per cent of the interviewed persons bought this type in 2012, i. e. over 3 per cent increase compared with 2011. All in all, the number of dairy farmers to invest in feed mixers was 10 per cent higher than the year before.

 

 


 

 



“Since the beginning of the year, we have noticed a sensible increase in the demand for self-propelled“, Georg Mayer, Managing Director of Mayer Maschinenbaugesellschaft mbH, said. “More and more smaller farms with a livestock from 60 cows upwards are discovering the economic benefits of modern feeding technology. I’m sure that the demand for these customised machines combining maximum precision with time saving and easy control will increase considerably worldwide“, Georg Mayer continued.

 

 


 

 



With its wide product range of self-propelled and trailed feed mixers as well as machines to mechanise feed collection and distribution, Mayer Maschinenbaugesellschaft mbH obtained a sales volume of over 50 million Euros in the business area of feeding technology.
