(DLG). With dispatch of the stand registration documents to exhibitors, preparations for the world’s largest exhibition for agricultural machinery and equipment, Agritechnica 2013, have now started. The globally leading forum for the industry will be presenting its programme to the trade public at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover from 10 to 16 November 2013. The organizer DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) has again arranged two Preview Days, this time on 10 and 11 November 2013. The closing date for stand bookings for exhibitors is 1 February 2013.

Agritechnica is unique among all exhibitions of agricultural machinery and equipment. This is where all the agricultural machinery companies operating throughout Europe and globally are represented directly. Agritechnica offers altogether the most comprehensive and broad-based exhibition programme for arable farming and plant production. More than 2,700 companies from all over the world took part in the last event in 2011. The November date is particularly attractive – this is when manufacturers present their innovations to distribution partners and farmers and when farmers plan their investments for the coming season. With 419,000 expert visitors, including 98,000 from outside Germany, Agritechnica 2011 exercised a magnetic draw on contractors, machinery rings and farmers from all over the world. The agricultural machinery trade worldwide sees Agritechnica as its forum and makes special use of the Preview Days. Agritechnica will be the meeting place for the agricultural sector from all over the world once again in 2013.

NEW: Exhibition focus on “Systems & Components”

The exhibition sector “Systems & Components” represents a key component of the exhibitor group at AGRITECHNICA. A large number of manufacturing companies provide direct flanking support to their OEM customers and are directly involved in wide areas of developing and engineering agricultural machinery and equipment. “Systems & Components” thus play a crucial role for the innovative thrust in agricultural machinery and equipment and shape concepts such as reliability, efficiency, environmental protection and safety. The distinction between system, module, component and parts suppliers reflects the real industrial production process and is being translated consistently into the product groupings in the exhibition concept for the first time at Agritechnica 2013. In the new “Systems & Components” exhibition sector the unique and complete product spectrum in the areas of chassis, cabs, vehicle electrics and electronics, drive systems, transmissions, engines, hydraulics, brakes and steering, tyres and wheels – and the associated parts and components for the agricultural machinery sector will be on show. These will be supplemented in this exhibition segment by business promotion, cluster initiatives, research & development, and trade publishers.

NEW: Special “Rice production”

A key area will be devoted to the topic of “Rice production” in an Agritechnica Special. Under the heading “From practical experience for practical applications” it will address the special features of production machinery and equipment as well as cultivation issues.

Top-flight international programme – New: “Africa’s Emerging Markets”

A top-flight technical programme with a large number of international events will complement the machinery and equipment programmes of the exhibitors. Agritechnica 2013 will include, for instance, the VDI/MEG International Agricultural Machinery Conference, an international conference “Agricultural Markets 2014” and an Eastern Europe Event. In addition the European Young Farmers and Students Day being organized by Young DLG together with national and international partners for Agritechnica 2013 will attract great attention. Another new feature at Agritechnica 2013 will be an event exploring the topic of “Africa’s Emerging Markets”, looking at the perspectives for the agricultural machinery industry in selected African countries. A diverse technical programme will also be offered in special forums with an international slant, held in several languages.
