An effective solution must be cost-effective, host-specific and use colonizing bacterial strains. When applied early on, colonizing probiotic bacteria can act as drivers of gut health by priming a chick's immune system and spurring its development and maturation.
Additionally, early application of beneficial Lactobabacillus bacteria will competitively exclude enteric pathogens, such as pathogenic E.coli, Salmonella and Clostridium perfringens, from having the space and nutrients to pose a harm to bird health and jeopardize profitability.
