Sales of earthmoving and road works machinery dropped sharply in the first six months of the year. In the wake of a downturn of 22.4% in the first quarter, mid-year data point to a steeper decline of 31.5% for earthmoving machinery in addition to an even more drastic plunge of 49% for the road works machinery sector.
