Mediterranean land degradation threatens food security
The European Commission has today approved 27 programmes to promote agricultural products in the European Union and in third countries. The total budget of the programmes, the grand majority of which will run for a period of three years, is € 77,4 million of which the EU contributes € 39 million. The selected programmes cover a variety of product categories, such as fresh and processed fruit and vegetables, dairy products, quality products (PDOs, PGIs, TSGsand organic products), flowers, quality meat, as well as, for the first time, sheepmeat.

Nedap introduces ‘Farrowing Feeding’: a new system that facilitates a simple and trouble-free transition from traditional to fully automated feeding of sows in farrowing pens. With Nedap Farrowing Feeding, each sow is optimally fed according to its requirements. As a result of this, condition loss during the lactation period is history. Nedap will present this new solution at the EuroTier trade fair, which will be held in Hannover between 11 and 14 November (Hall 11, stand F03).

With the Nedap Smarttag Neck, Nedap is the first company in the world to combine a solution for Heat Detection and Health Monitoring with a system for locating individual cows. This saves dairy farmers a considerable amount of time. With this, Nedap anticipates the growing number of dairy cows on dairy farms. EuroTier will be held in Hannover, between 11 and 14 November.
Átmeneti szárazabb időszak után kedden ismét csapadékosabbra fordult időjárásunk, és november utolsó napjaiban az igazi tél is beköszöntött már.
