Calf-Tel introduces the all New Pen Front
Calf-Tel was the first to introduce a plastic modular pen system in 2006. Since then, the Calf-Tel Pen System has been embraced world-wide by dairies of all sizes. The new Pen Front is the only pen that allows you to adjust the bucket height independent of the entire front of the pen. Until now, all other options require you to lift the door in order to adjust the bucket height, which leaves a large gap at the bottom for bedding to escape. This gap allows for a significant amount of bedding to fall out into the isle way, which poses a bio-security risk and a loss of costly bedding from inside the pen. The new Pen Front has also been redesigned to fully accommodate the nipple bucket, which allows for highly efficient feeding.
Dairymen will now lose less bedding and reduce the bio-security risk within their facilities. Other improvements, exclusive to Calf-Tel, include an enhanced feed divider and proprietary handle further improving the performance, functionality, and profitability to dairymen.
Calf-Tel introduces the space saving economical ECO calf hutch
The Calf-Tel Eco hutch is the latest introduction to the Calf-Tel hutch family of products. “The Calf-Tel Pro & Deluxe models have been immensely successful, providing superior calf housing since Calf-Tel’s first introduction in 1981,” says Bernd Kleiner, business development manager - Europe. The inherent unparalleled benefits of plastic: durability, bio-security, longevity, and labor saving attributes have more than proven themselves to dairymen.
The Pro & Deluxe models provide about 2.7m2 ; if a fence is used in conjunction with the hutch, the foot print goes up to about 4.4m2. While this square footage has been embraced world-wide, there are some facilities that require smaller more economical hutch options for their calf housing needs due to either management practices or due to availability of space. Calf-Tel’s ECO hutch provides a smaller space saving solution to address these needs, while also providing an unparalleled bio-security friendly and extremely durable calf housing option. The ECO hutch requires about 2.1m2 of space, 22 percent less than the Pro and Deluxe models.
This allows dairymen to take advantage of the reduced foot print and the economies of scale the ECO hutch provides, while also realizing the features and benefits of the Calf-Tel line of housing products. Other benefits include the one of a kind rear bedding and ventilation door. The rear bedding door allows for maximum labor efficiency and the superior ventilation provides the calves with the fresh air they need for good health.
Calf-Tel introduces the new Calf-Tel XXL, the largest XL calf hutch on the market

Calf-Tel XXL provides the most interior usable space for calves.
